You’ll learn about past and present peculiar happenings throughout Hamilton County during these walks. Note, however, that all participants attend each event at their own risk.
Unseenpress Ghost Walks and Investigations
When you reserve a walking tour or bus tour with Unseenpress, be prepared to be enlightened by expert guides, Nicole and Michael Kobrowski. Since 2001, Nicole and Michael have been educating guests about fascinating historical facts and local folklore during ghost walks.
The Kobrowskis aims to provide opportunities for the public to learn about ghost-hunting techniques and equipment. Each ghost walk lasts between 1.75 and 2 hours. Note that participants may not ask property owners for permission to ghost hunt or carry out spiritual cleanses. Additionally, cameras and video equipment cannot be used for broadcasting purposes.
Historic Ghost Walks in Indiana
Tours take place outdoors, during twilight or after dark, and are designed to give you an authentic experience. For your safety, you must stay with the tour group at all times. Locations vary from local parks to bridges, historic cemeteries, and buildings.
Most tour locations are semi-handicap accessible; please discuss your mobility needs with Nicole and Michael prior to your tour. Walking tours cost $18 per person. However, seniors can participate for just $15 per person.
Note that children younger than 10 years of age may not participate in ghost walks. Tours occur rain or shine, but should your tour be canceled by for any reason, you’ll receive a certificate to attend a future tour.
Haunted Indy Downtown Ghost Walk, Indianapolis (May 24th)
Learn about the Indy gangs of the 1900s and walk through the hotels of Meridian Street and the Wholesale District. According to the tour guides, the ghosts of these thugs still haunt the streets decades after completing their dirty deeds.
Nefarious Noblesville Ghost Walk (June 1st)
Learn about spirited affairs which continue today in bar-rooms, businesses, and residences, where the ghosts of Noblesville reside. All participants will meet on the south side of the Historic Courthouse Square.
Chatham Arch Lockerbie Ghost Walk (June 8th)
The Chatham Arch ghost walk will be held at the Theater District in downtown Indianapolis. Learn about the unsolved murder of Dr. Helene Knabe, among other stories.
